Fuzzball v4.2.2 release notes

Fuzzball v4.2.2 is a patch release that fixes an AWS deployment failure affecting stack updates – including in-place upgrades – for deployments with large stack parameters. It contains no other user-visible changes.

• AWS stack updates failing with an ECS container-overrides size error. The Lambda-based task runner that applies CloudFormation stack updates embedded the full stack parameters twice inside its ECS task launch request. For deployments with enough parameters – several cluster-admin IAM role ARNs, a permissions boundary, long generated resource names – the combined payload could exceed ECS’s 8192-byte limit on container overrides, causing ECS to reject the task launch and blocking the stack update entirely. The runner now sends the parameters once; stack updates on parameter-heavy deployments no longer hit the limit.
